IODE Leif Erikson - Yarmouth NS

The Leif Erikson Chapter of Yarmouth received its Charter in 1952. The name was chosen because of its historical interest in the Yarmouth area.  Leif Erikson was a Norseman who, on a voyage of exploration from Greenland, is thought to have landed at Yarmouth in the year 1000.

Aurel Mooney, chapter President and Charlotte Wood, chapter Secretary served cake in honour of the Queen's 90th birthday on April 21st at the Yarmouth Superstore. Many  shoppers enjoyed the hospitality of the IODE Leif Erikson Chapter in celebrating this special occasion.
